Raspustilište Begins – This Year all Programmes for Children Online


The 37th Raspustilište begins, and numerous programmes, in the period from 21 to 31 December, will be held online. Most of the programmes can be followed via the Zoom platform, YouTube, as well as the Facebook and Instagram pages of the Mlin Cultural Station, because, as the organizers say, the most important thing for us is to be healthy and well now.

Making an overture for a ten-day children’s programme, Raspustilište invites children of preschool and elementary school age and all lovers of beautiful words to the Literary Competition for the best New Year’s message.  The form is free – poems, short prose or aphorisms of up to 300 characters (font 14, Times New Roman) can be sent by creative children with the help of their parents until 25 December to [email protected], and the most successful will be awarded with books and magazines for children. The works will be evaluated by a jury composed of: Tode Nikoletić, Dejan Aleksić and Uroš Petrović, and the winners will be announced on 28 December.

Raspustilište begins with the ‘Na Krilima Raspustilišta(En. On the Wings of Raspustilište) with Emil Kurcinak, an actor of the Youth Theatre, available on Facebook  and Instagram of the Mlin Cultural Station on 21 December.

Ecological-educational workshop called ‘Fix Your Toy’ will be held in the Mlin Cultural Station (20 Radnička Street) on Wednesday, 23 December, at 10 a.m. During the workshop, children will receive useful information about e-waste recycling and the dangers if waste is disposed improperly. The organizers of the workshop are Jasna Skomrak and Marija Pekez, professors of the  ‘Mihajlo Pupin’ school of electrical engineering. Since the number of children is limited, applications for participation are open until 22 December until 10 p.m. on [email protected].

On the same day, at 1:30 p.m., a ‘Workshop on Film and Video Game Making’ will be held via the Zoom platform. All interested can apply via [email protected] until 23 December at 1 p.m.

Also on the Zoom platform, a workshop called ‘The Magic World of Drawing’, intended for children aged 6 to 14, who wish to develop the skills of illustration, caricature and comics, will be held from 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The workshop is led by Nikola Dragaš, our award-winning cartoonist. Registrations for the workshop are required by email: [email protected] until 23 December at 2 p.m. This workshop will be repeated on 28 December from 5 p.m. (the application deadline is Monday, 28 December until 2 p.m.), and on Tuesday, 29 December at the same time, and the application deadline is 29 December until 2 p.m.

Thursday, 24 December, will be marked by the creative workshop called ‘Pop-up Greeting Card’, which will be held from 10 a.m. with Goran Novakov, a children’s writer and illustrator. The workshop will be held via the Zoom platform, and applications should be sent to [email protected] by 24 December at 2 p.m.

For children older than 12 years of age, on Friday, 25 December, an online workshop called ‘What are Microbits For?’ will be implemented, for which it is necessary to send an application by 25 December at 10 a.m. The ‘Christmas Story’ play, implemented in cooperation with the Youth Theatre, will be available at YouTube Channel of the Theatre at noon on the same day. Further on, from 1.30 pm, another ‘Workshop on Film and Video Game Making’ will be held, for which the application deadline is the same day until 1 p.m. This workshop will be repeated on Tuesday, 29 December, at 1:30 p.m., and the application deadline is the same day until 1 p.m.

On Monday, 28 December, from noon, the guests of the Raspustilište will be the writers Uroš Petrović, Tode Nikoletić and Dejan Aleksić. On that occasion, young authors from the Literary Competition will be announced and awarded, and it will be possible to follow the event via the Zoom platform. Application deadline is 28 December at 11 a.m. on [email protected]. Wednesday, 30 December, is reserved for the ‘Santa’s Bag – Happiness’ theatre play performed by the Teatrilo Theatre. The story follows the adventures of a polar bear who, in search of food, reaches Santa’s magical gift factory.

This year’s Raspustilište will be crowned by participants who will send a unique New Year’s card via social networks of the Mlin Cultural Station on 31 December at noon.

The programmes are held in compliance with all prescribed measures for protection against Covid-19 diseases.
