There are many stories that used to be interesting to people a long time ago, but over time, they have faded and fallen into oblivion. ‘A Christmas Carol’ is not one of them.
This novel by Charles Dickens still arouses strong emotions and sends a clear message, as it did in 1843, when it was written. ‘A Christmas Carol’ emphasizes how important it is to pay attention to people around us, to provide help to those who need it the most, and to worry less about money and material wealth.
Although Dickens’s novel had a strong influence on the people of his time, things have not changed much to this day. We still have to remember that at least one day a year we should be noble and generous to others without any special reason.
You can watch ‘A Christmas Carol’ theatre play online within Raspustilište and in cooperation with the Youth Theatre on 25 December at noon on YouTube Channel of the Theatre. The play is intended for children older than five years of age.
