Art and Children’s Rights

The series of workshops for children aged 11-15 will be implemented from 10 October to 11 December, within the ‘Art and Children’s Rights’ project of the Play Centre from Novi Sad.

At the workshops, children will receive information about each article of the United Nations Convention on the Children’s Rights, as well as a chance to participate in debates, express their opinions, and break down certain prejudices and the like.

In addition to this, children will be given creative tasks in the form of video recording, interviewing, making mimes, posters and the like, on the topic of children’s rights. The whole cycle consists of eight meetings lasting four hours (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and will end with a presentation of children’s works created within the project. The final presentation will be held in the Mlin Cultural Station.

The first workshop, on 10 October, will be held at the Youth Theatre, and all other workshops will be held in Mlin. The workshop leaders are Bojana Tankosić, master psychologist and expert in the field of children’s rights and Aleksandra Mirimanov, art pedagogue, artist and counselor in integrative art psychotherapy.

It is desirable to participate in each workshop because they are thematically related to each other.

You can apply by calling 062727139. Workshops will be held once a week, as follows:

  • 10, 16, 23 and 30 October
  • 6, 20 and 27 November
