The ‘Paper Modelling’ workshop is based on the copyright publication for children 5-12 years of age. The workshop will be held in the Mlin Cultural Station on 26 August. The programme is being implemented within the 38th Raspustilište, organised by the Novi Sad Children’s Cultural Centre.
The goal of the ‘Paper Modelling’ workshop is to give children an opportunity to master the scissors skills and develop fine motor skills, as well as to improve accuracy, concentration, patience and neatness. Miroslav Paroškaj and Jelena Dopuđ are the authors and organisers of the workshop.
How to take away children from passive sitting in front of a screen and encourage them to develop their motor skills, creativity, imagination, verbal and non-verbal communication?
Cutting paper with scissors is a useful activity since it develops and masters fine motor skills among children. Children find it challenging and interesting, but it can be a problem sometimes. In addition to learning how to hold scissors with one hand, children should learn how to control the opening and closing of blades, how to cut in the wanted direction, and how to control the coordination of hands and eyes.
Cutting and making paper pieces is followed by an interesting activity of playing with those pieces. Children can use paper pieces for dramatization of fairy tales, fables, or stories that can be a product of their imagination. When they get caught up in the play, their creativity comes to the fore.
The entrance is free of charge. The programmes are being implemented in accordance with the current epidemiological measures.
Summer part of the programme of the 38th Raspustilište entitled ‘Zagrevanje za Školu’ (En.
